#Amiga format to DOS
10 messages in this thread
Help! I purchased a book bye Steven Worley called Understanding
Imagine 2.0, and it came with a disk in the Amiga format. Is there
anyway I can convert it to P.C. format? Some type of program or
something. Great book! Thanks for any help…
The Best I can tell you is try to find a Local Amiga Owner to copy
the Amiga Disk to a IBM Formatted Disk. We can do this thru software
such as Messydos or Crossdos where we can read/write/format IBM disks
on the Amiga Where are ye located??? You might also ask Steve Himself
since he is now Devoloping for the IBM/Clones
Thanks for the info Pete. My brother has an Amiga I'll ask him. I think he has
CrossDos.
Do you work with Imagine? Can't wait tell version 3.0 comes out.
Thanks Again
Greg
Glad someone local to you has an Amiga. If he doesn't have Crossdos
try looking for a PD prg called MESSYDOS here on Compuserve in
Amigaarts. It will do the same thing and let ya save the files from
the Books Disk to a IBM formatted Disk. Yup I work with Imagine, I
LOVE it, and I'm starting to drool waiting for Imagine 3.0
Sorry, but even if you could convert the disk format the program
wouldn't work anyhow. It's written only for the Amiga.
The files on the Disk this gent is talking anbout is Objects and
Attributes for Imagine so he shouldn't have any trouble using these files
with the PC version of Imagine once he gets them on a IBM Formatted
Floppy
Sorry, my mistake. Maybe I should try and have my copy converted.
Sorry John, I've forgotten the thread. What should you try to get
Converted?
The demo disk that comes with Steve Worley's book.
Ahhh yes, by all means try to fimnd someone local to you to Convert the
Disk from Steve Worley's book.
