If I use a 16 colour WB the icons look awful, but there OK on 8 colour.
Have you tried loading the 'Marble_CLASSIC' backdrop using WBPicture from
NickPrefs, and clicking on the 'Load Palette' button, then 'Save'. That
should save the correct palette for you.

You are right the 16 color MagicWB looks awful. I just tried your
suggestion loading the pallete from the WBpicture (again) and still
no help. I looked at the PIC from the archive and apparently the
pallete I see now is correct but it doesn't look like the ones thru
Opus's Icon Viewer. Thanx for the response!
