I would like info on any upgrades to G-Lock. Thank you.

Ed, The Hardware has changed only for cost reduction reasons. The software is at 1.16. The software has changed to help the locking to VCRs that are displaying less than good video. The way I put it "The G-Lock used to have a poodle, inside, trying to play sock pull and he kept loosing his teeth. Now we have installed (via software) a Pit Bull and he ate the owner". I don't think that you'll have too much of a problem from now forward!

Bill, My problems were 1st, the install disk had a read error and could not be disk-copied and 2nd, during fade the signal lock broke down. The read error turned out to be in a text file so I could use the software, but I couldn't do anything about the signal lock problem. The one time I got through to a real person at GVP, I was instructed to indicate the problem on the warranty card and send it in, which I did. After several weeks of waiting I tried calling again, and left voice mail, but still no reply. The GVP BBS number I got is the same as their voice number and I got a recording to call during regular business hours. My question, then, is, do you (or anyone else) know where I can get the pit bull? Ed K

Hmmm, the BBS number is (215) 337-5815. Someone may have spouted off the office or technical support number by mistake…
