To All, Help, I have an A500-HD + that will not recognise a SCSI hard drive at all. The drive is a Quantum 40S set at ID0 (all jumpers removed), the set-up software can not find the drive at any address. The drive does work on a 2091, IVS and a Nexux on my 2000. The testing software that is supplied does not really help me as the information it return means nothing. I have also tried RDPrep and it also can not find any SCSI HD's. Any ideads or help would be most welcome.

Seppi, We really need more information about what is going on. Is this a Quantum ELS drive? If so, then you need the latest version of the GVP boot ROM (which is 4.13). If you do, then tell us PRECISELY what occurs when you run FAAASTPREP and look at the drive's SCSI ID. Also, does the drive have its terminating resistors installed? Pete GVP Technical Services
