Hi Dave, let me jump in here quickly. Best bet initially will be to
contact your local Autodesk Education Representative (AER) for the
latest products and pricing available for students. We also market
and sell products specially made and/or priced for students through
college bookstores and campus computing centers. You did not mention
what products you and our son are interested in, but you should also
be aware that we are creating more and more "student editions" of
software and books through the publishing community. for instance
Addison Wesley have an AutoCAD Student Edition that contains full
versions of either R10 or R11 of AutoCAD and a set of manuals and
tutorials.
