#Using BANGLE font in CG
6 messages in this thread
I am doing the closing credits for a short christmas tape and all is
going well… except, the last line in my closing credits is "Merry
Christmas!!!" using Bangle 72pt font. This font seems to create
garbage below each letter. Am I doing something wrong? The font
fits my purpose perfectly, but I can not use a font with garbage
attached! If there is no way to get the font without the garbage, is
there a way to cover up the garbage with something so it is not
visible? (This does not seem to happen at all point sizes, so I can
most likely get it to work, but can anyone explain anyway?)
As someone who Doesn't use a Toaster unless I can beg the time on a
Friends machine let me ask you this, have you tried putting a Blank
Line After yer "Merry Christmas" line? if not try it, it may get rid
of yer Video garbage.
"Bangle" is one of our FontBank faces. There shouldn't be any kind
of "garbage" below the letters. Could you do a screen capture and
send it to me, please? I'll see if I can duplicate the problem.
Is this a key page? If so, do you maybe have a verticle down
dropshadow on that line with a luminance value close to the value of
the underlying video/background?
I was using a scroll page for credits and my last line was "Merry
Christmas". The garbage vanished when I switched to 80pt rather than
72pt. Now when I switch back to 72pt, it works fine. Must have been
a glitch in my machine. I wish I could have gotten a screen capture,
but I didn't. On that note… How do you do a screen capture? If I
see any problems again, I would like to capture it so people don't
think I spent to much time having fun in the '60s.

Glad to hear it, Mike!
