I need an opinion on Composite Studio and/or Auto Paint for the Toaster. How effective is it? Is quality good? Ease of interface? Anyone who has used either of these products opinions would be appreciated. Thanks. -Andy

I recently acquired Composite Studio "and it's GREAT!". It really saves time and provides a really nice assortment of ready made templates which you can customize and store additionally for later use. Think of it as a remote control for toaster paint. Greg-Lesko & Associates Video.

I use Composite Studio and it is quirky but good. It really shines when teamed up with PRO FILLS as a texture generator. It has templates which are useable but yours will be better. It comes with a hundred 24 bit brushes which helps. Although better than Auto Paint, you will still find yourself wondering what happened to elements on the design screen. A learning curve that is similar to learning to always set a keyframe in lightwave is its biggest weakness, coupled with a less than descriptive graphic screen to compose on. Still, it teaches ol' DOGPAINT a few tricks it should have learned long ago. Joe Clasen Joe's DB&G

Joe, I agree with you on CS with a few exceptions… Wish I could select more than one object at a time to move Wish I could draw more primitives and had the capability to rotate on angle Wish in the layering of objects I could step them back and forth levels at a time Wish just because I clicked on an object and didn't save the element it would not disappear I think if it had those and probably a few other items I am forgetting it would be an even better package than it is. I have to remember it is only ver 1.1.:-) I have also found using Corel or Freelance to make graphic charts is much easier than any Amiga product I own. jmb

As of late I have made a zillion screens using lightwave rendering out glass crystal screens with dimensional letters and converted them to PCX and BMP files. Try that with Corel. Although I fear the next version of Composite Studio with your wish list will probably be for the PC than for the Amiga. All the developers I know have already jumped ship. GLUB. I fear the FLYER will be the final Flag on the good ship Commodore as it sinks into the ocean. Joe Clasen Joe's DB&G
