I see. Dan, please tell us whay the liquidator told you!
Anyway, there should definitely be a book about the whole story of
Commodore! Maybe you or Dale… 😉

Sorry to say I have not gotten anything substantive from the liquidator
yet. A book would be a good idea. I think there are already a couple of
people out there working on it, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for a
real good one. I'll do my best to keep you posted on the liquidator.

Well, I can't wait til the movie comes out. I think (actor) Donald
Pleasance should play Mehdi, with a patch over one eye, and a laptop on
his lap which he keeps petting and it purrs with a raspy digital sound.

I thought of "Who killed Commodore".
Only problem is, you sure couldn't sell it as a mystery….
(sad grin)
Here's a prologue for that book, excerpted from an article I
wrote a few months back for our newsletter:
"At first it was the Golden Flower, heralded by all that saw
and touched it. Our magicians and miracle workers were themselves
charmed by its elegance and power. It was a blessing upon the
land.
"But then came the night, and darker powers took hold of the
gift. They had no love for it, and instead nursed a small
parasite within.
"And while mankind slept, the malignancy grew. Silently,
relentlessly, it festered deep within its innoscent host. The
restive voices of the small crowd that knew were subsumed in the
soundless vacuum of indifference. Finally, the fell creature
emerged. And as its head broke through, rupturing the envelope
of silence, there let loose a rushing vibration to the ear of all
mankind, worse than a hundred thousand wailing banshees laying on
the keys of a hundred thousand fiery pipe organs plummeting into
hell! We all knew then that it walked among us…. Commodorus
the UnDead!!!"

Ok, heres a new one, I just got a news letter from SoftWood Inc., the
publishers of Final Copy, and the letter states: "After months of doubts and
rumors about the future of the Amiga, it appears that Commodore UK backed by
considerable financing will be acquiring rights to produce and enhance the
Amiga".
This takes some courgage (or inside info) for a company to come out and
proclaim this. Thoughts?

A lot of people seem to be pointing their finger at Commodore UK.
However, until a deal officially goes through, it doesn't mean much.
I'm not so sure its courage or inside oformation. Its more likely an attempt
to persuade potential customers who may be thinking of switching to PCs that
all is well, so they will invest more money in software for their Amigas!

the title.
