HELP! I have E-mailed GVP-Tech, but maybe someone can help, also. Am upgrading an A2000 w/GVP-Impact 2000 SCSI to DOS 2.04. The 2.04 ROM is installed, DOS 2.04 loaded OK. But now want to re-format and re-partition the HD. The instruction book and 1.3 GVP Install disk is old. I suspect I need to create or obtain (preferably) a more recent 2.0 Install disk. Is there one available? Or what is needed to do the HD re-formatting? I also have an A3000 available, runs just fine. I have learned that the HD prep/format stuff for the A3000 is not applicable to 3rd party HD stuff in A2000's (Maybe the way to solve the problem is to bite the bullet and find an accelerator card! now!)

Scott, You should be able to format the drive with the HDToolBox program that comes with 2.04. But you will have to add a tooltype to it's icon, I believe its "SCSI_DEVICE=GVPSCSI.device". I can't find the info on the tooltype name so if SCSI_DEVICE doesn't work, thry SCSI.DEVICE, SCSI DEVICE, etc. Once you get it right HDToolBox will be able to query your scsi buss. -Marty
