when rendering an animation an error message saying "invalid normal array" always appears. I'm doing an animation with moving letters on a path around an object with a shield effect. I have no problem rendering any still frames of the same animation, but the error message appears when I try to render the flc files and sometime when i render the stil frame. If it doesn't work the first time when rendering an Image it always works the second time. when trying to render the animatiom (640×480) the error message always appears within the first 10 frames. what is causing this error message to appear ? and how can I correct it, I would appreciate any suggestions thank you, Sincerely, alain

Hi Alain, It sounds like your 3ds.exe has become adulterated. You should reinstall from the original shipping disks. If the problem persists, you should contact your dealer for a new set of floppies. jonas[adesk]
