#Revision of A2000

Does anyone know if you can upgrade an A2000 REV 4.4 board to a Rev 4.5 or
where one might find information on the suject?

The Reve 4.1 to rev 4.5 upgrade involved removing a couple of capacitors
and adding a resistor. No biggie. Any dealer that was also authorized to
do repairs could do it or tell you what it was (if they kept their C=
service manuals). If worse comes to worse call KJ computers are
818-366-9120 to arrange upgrade or perhaps, if you are nice, they will
tell you over the phone what it is (better have shematics handy).

Sorry for juming in but along the same lines, is there anywhere that you
can find out what is involved with each motherboard revision? I am trying
to sell my A2000 (W/ a rev 4.4 board) and that seems to be turning people
away. Is there a flaw with the Rev 4.4? I've never had a problem with
it!

Well, the best sources I can think of are dealers, Dave Haynie and people
who were dealers like Mark Manes or CBM engineers like Dale Larson. I
wouldn't mind seeing a run down either.
BTW, I believe that I saw reports of problems on earley 6.x rev MBs that
were worse than stuff on the later 4.x revs. I believe that mpst venders
drew a line in the MB rev sand at whatever revision they developed on just
to cut potential tech support nightmares. GVP did this with their '030
card for problems I was having with their SCSI device. Turned out to be
intermittent memory on their accelerator and nothing to do with the 4.1
rev MB I have.
