Another dumb question. After the cics the prompt read UIC: which I
interpret as the ID Prompt. I enter 74220,322 and get an error message which
tells me the first character must be alphabetic. As far as I know I don't use
letters when logging on with CIM. Can you help me again?

Dick,
Please reread my message. Once connected if you hit ^C you will be prompted
for your user it (it says User ID:). If you hit return you'll get the Host:
prompt for which you reply CIS then you'll get the User ID: prompt. If you get
anything else, you messed up.
