Bob, Yes, your modem will work with the Amiga…you can even use the same modem cable if it has 25 pin connectors on both ends. Getting the communications software is a bit harder since your system only has 1.3. You'd need to do one of several things: 1. Upgrade your Amiga to v2.1 (or higher) of the operating system so that CrossDOS is included. This allows the Amiga to directly read and write 720K MS-DOS formatted diskettes. 2. Buy CrossDOS from a local dealer…it'll work under 1.3, but isn't part of the operating system package. 3. If you have any communications software for the Amiga, you could hook your PC and the Amiga together via a NULL modem cable and transfer files back and forth that way. 4. Have a friend who has an Amiga download the file(s) for you or have them convert the DOS disks to Amiga disks if they have CrossDOS. 5. Contact a local user's group. 6. Buy a commerical communications program from a local dealer. In any event, we have several communications programs here in our libraries. Don
