<<1. Is working there a good way to become a 3DS guru?>> We become more of a Sensei than a guru. In other words we teach, but there is not a lot of time to do. <<2. In what city are you based?>> That depends which of our world wide network of support centers you wind up at. I wound up outside San Fransisco. <<3. Do you have specific degree or experience requirements, or is hiring on a case-by-case basis?>> Yes, you must have specific degrees and experience. Which specific degrees and experience you need are determined on a case by case basis. <<4. Is there a competitive market for tech support jobs?>> Everyone needs support. they just don't know it yet. <<5. How many of you are there?>> Yes, we are. <<6. Do you enjoy your job? (Just wink if your supervisor is watching.)>> wink, wink, giggle. <<7. Do you have separate tech support people for each of your products, or do you cover several?>> I am a fairly large person. I can cover 2 or 3 products at once. Most people can only cover one, since we started selling things in these large boxes. Unless you are talking about developer kits, which come in 8×10 envelopes. If you stand them on end, I can cover 5 or 6, but it hurts. <<8. Do you have any specific recommendations for improving my chances of getting hired? (Demo tape, experience, etc.)>> Yes, I do have reservations…uh, I mean reccomendations. <<8. Besides Microsoft, are there windows in your office?>> Yes and no. The windows are there, but I can't see through them unless I reboot the office, and I'm not allowed to do that during the daytime. -Brian

Actually, your local dealer might give you their copy, if they can't figure out how to get it running. 🙂

Oh, I'd give credit to all those customers who come up with such great questions. Or maybe we should give credit to the manual writers, who avoid certain topics just to help protect your job. 🙂

Boy, did you have some kind of crash Tuesday, or did you just reboot??!! The rain all day, and then the thunder and lightning…be careful with those Windows! <g> John (just down the street)
