Sus, << What is the best checked S-VGA card to 3D-STUDIO. >> The official line is that AutoDesk employees do not do benchmarks or make hardware recommendations. However, if you have 3ds r3 and the latest Vibrant drivers, you'll see the full list of supported cards, you'll see the resolutions and color depths that they support. You can pull out a computer shopper and compare prices and you can call your dealer and ask for additional recommendations. jonas[adesk]

Sus, what card is the fastest (Matrox, Stealth-64 or others.) Using the drivers that come with 3DS, most of the more well-known cards are acceptably fast. The biggest difference is if you need VESA mode under DOS. It appears the fastest cards for this are ones based on the S3 864 and 964 chips, (Diamond Stealth 64, etc.), the Tseng 4000 W32, (Hercules Dynamite, etc.), and the ATI mach 32 and Mach 64. Some people have reported problems with the ATI cards in 3DS, (Vibrant is working on it). Personally, I use a #9GXE64Pro, (S3 964), and LOVE it! John
