Hi there Can someone please help me with a frustrating problem. I want to be able to transfer data from my Atari 520 STe (I know I know !!) to my friends Amiga A500+ is there any way to make the disk formats compatible Thanks for your help Andy

Andy, Yes, the Atari ST uses an MS-DOS type filesystem. You should be able to format the floppies on the Atari ST in 720K format and then read them on the Amiga via CrossDOS (part of OS v2.1 and above…for earlier versions of the OS, CrossDOS is a commercial product that can be bought at your local dealer's). Andy, Yup..that's the best way presuming your friend doesn't want to upgrade to v2.1 or higher where CrossDOS is included with the OS. Don

Its better than CrossDOS since it does not need as many additional files in the system directories. There is one other thing you might try. You can connect serial ports with a null modem cable and fireup a terminal program on both computers.
