Jim, I've finally got it!!!! Here's what I did. I reinstalled my Workbench 3.0
without using an install disk. First, I formatted my Hard Drive. Then I went
into the shell and typed COPY DF0: DH0: ALL I did that with all 5 of my disks.
I'm finally up and running again. What a relief! I have a few problems
remaining however. Now when I open my Workbench window all the icons are on
top of each other. I know I can press Clean up and that takes care of it until
it's restarted again. Can it be cleaned up for good? Also in my Word processor
"ProWrite" I get the request for putting the Fonts disk in the drive.

After getting all the icons where you want, use the Window/Snapshot/All
menu command to retain the Workbench window settings permanently. Make
sure the Workbench window is selected when you do it.

After you do a cleanup on a window (while the window is still highlighted)
select SNAPSHOT (then ALL) under the WINDOW option of the MENU bar.
This will snapshot the window onto its current position on the WB, and
snapshot the icons into their current postion inside the window.

You may have erased the directory where ProWrite was storing its private
fonts. Either re-install ProWrite, or find out where the fonts go, and re
copy them from floppy to that location. Look in Prowrite's icon, or for a
cfg file that gives the path to where the fonts will be found.

Ron Romine and DJ have already given you all the advice you need on using
Clean Up/Snapshot All, and fonts for ProWrite. So I'll just say,
"Congratulations!". Now you can move on to the fun part of using your Amiga.
Meanwhile, you have learned quite a few useful things along the way. (Me, too:
until our dialog, I didn't know that INSTALL was for floppies only).
