Hi Jeremy
I'm back with a few more questions if you don't mind.
Will the Kai Power tools be the complete set or just a special subset selection
for use with Studio?
What I was getting at with the Powerpoint, Astound importation into Studio was
that all slides from a presentation would be imported and converted into a
native Studio file format.
This is what Gold Disk tried with their Astound package for hijacking (so to
speak) PPT & Harvard files. Reality rarely meets advertising expectation though
<g>. They still can't get PPT 3.0 files to import correctly and no word on 4.0
files.
As you say you can cut and paste objects between packages. I was hoping there
might be something a little cleaner.
What about OLE support? Will Studio be a client or client\server?
What kind of tools, features can we expect for the Dig.Video side of Studio?
Will Studio be Win95 (or is that Win9x) compatible?
<<
Thanks
Mike
Mike,
Sorry it's been so long, but I've been on the road. I got your messsage the
first time, but forgot to respond. So here it goes…
<Will the Kai Power tools be the complete set or just a special subset
selection for use with Studio?>
It hasn't been decided yet how the Kai tools will be implemented yet.
I understand what you're saying regarding the importation of PPT files, but the
way I described is the only way possible at this time.
<What about OLE support? Will Studio be a client or client\server?>
There will be OLE support in Studio, not sure about the second half of that
question.
<What kind of tools, features can we expect for the Dig.Video side of Studio?>
Well, Animator Studio has full AVI support and several compression options for
output as well as an audio editing tool. Most tools for recording or capturing
are a feature of the hardware/software combination for the video capture card,
in other words, they're proprietary.
<Will Studio be Win95 (or is that Win9x) compatible?>
If Windows95 supports Windows 3.1 apps, then yes. I know the next
question-don't ask. I could tell you, but (you know the rest).<g>
