Hi Everyone, A client of ours recieves a page fault error and 3DSR3 shuts down completely, (this means that he ends up at the DOS prompt and 3DS is no longer running). This only happens when he renders with more than one spotlight with raytrace. !?! This happens on two different computers. Both have more than 24 MB RAM. The mesh files are less than 1 meg. It happens with anything he tries to render. I don't have a clue. I've looked at his boot files, we've stripped them, He has copied my boot files and it still happens. Has anyone ever had this happen? Help! Thanks ComWorks

Hi Randy, << I don't have a clue. I've looked at his boot files, we've stripped them, He has copied my boot files and it still happens. Has anyone ever had this happen? >> Raytracing is very memory intensive so I'd like to know if you mean that the config.sys only had file=# and buffers=# while the autoexec.bat only had a path statement.. when stripped? 3DS should work fine with this minimum set up.. I'm suspecting a memory conflict or bad memory? Please post your results.. jonas[adesk]

Thanks Jonas, I will call the fellow in the morning and have him send a copy of his version of stripped.
