It does not understand the LZW (Lempel-Ziv-Welch) format of archive. If you have an LZW compressed file, it will skip that one and continue unarchiving. It does handle the other compression types: None, RLE, and Huffman. If you have an LZW format .SIT file, find the UNSIT program, available here on CIS. It handles all .SIT formats except RLE.
