I have a friend with a SCII Quantum that he formatted on an MSDOS machine (fat mode) – he wants to mount and use it with AmigaDOS 3.1 (Like with CrossDos and PC floppies) What does he have to do? thanks very much in advance. Mike

Mike: He needs to have the CrossDOS package from Consultron, for one. The version included with AmigaDOS does not work with hard drives. Once he has that, he'll need to use the install utility to set up a DOSDrivers entry to talk to the drive. It isn't very difficult, once you have the program. One caution. If the drive has been compressed by Stacker or a similiar program, it will not be readable by CrossDOS. "The first lesson of economics is scarcity….
