Does anyone know offhand what the mask numbers are when Gigamem is used
on an Amiga 3000 ? I cant find the little manual that came with the
program anywhere ( I apparently no longer have to wait for senility to set
in ! ). Any info appreciated.
From my manual:
A3000 normal value: 0x7ffffffc -> 0x0ffffffc
[…]
On the A3000, you will very probably need to use HDToolbox. Click 'Partition
Drive' in the main meny, then click 'Advanced Options' Then, you should repeat
the following steps for all partitions: -Select the partition -Click 'Change
File System For Partition' -Make sure that Mask = 0x0ffffffc (change the
trailing 7 to 0) -Press Return in the string container (otherwise, the changes
are ignored) -Click 'OK' -At the end, click OK in the Partitioning menu and in
the main meny click
'Save Changes to drive'
———- All the dates in the manual are 1991 and 1992, so I guess mine might
be an old version. I got it as part of a used software bundle and never
installed it, so I don't know for sure. Just a warning.
