I found out that my Amiga 1200 is not compatible with a Tandy Monitor. I would have had to have it scan 15.75 to 31 kilo so I guess I need to buy an Amiga monitor. It was an RGB analog and all the hardward fit.(15 pin to 23 pin adapter) but I couldn't set my Preferences. So I'm off to a new adventure. Tompatiblity, by using the Overscan Pref to display them for resizing. If they don't display correctly, just hit the ECS key to return to the selection menu. — If you open the Icontrol Pref, there is a MODE PROMOTION option. This option (when activated) attempts to substitute DblNTSC for NTSC, and DblPAL for PAL screens. The 3rd party utility called PPrefs does a better job of promoting screens than Icontrol does. You can find PPREFS.LHA in the LIBs. Beware that only screens that are opened in a system friendly manner, can be promoted. Programs that bypass the OS's method of opening the screen can not be intercepted for the screenmode substitution. Also, I know of no promotion software that survives the reset, so copy protected boot floppies can't be promoted.
