Hello to all the 3D Studio fanatics! I've just arrived on Compuserve and am enthralled with the incredible level of assistance and knowledge of the people using this forum. It's great to see. I would just like to briefly present myself (is this the place to do it? guess I'll soon find out). I come from Australia but am now living in Paris. I am very passionate, not sexual, about 3D Studio and like many continue to trudge down the path of 'eternal learning' with this package. I like to create animations and images for my own pleasure but also like to dive into the technical aspects. Enough said, 'read' you soon!

We've got something big in common, David. I'm also passionate about 3D Studio in a nonsexual way. Welcome! – G

>>We've got something big in common, << >>David. I'm also passionate about<< >>3D Studio in a nonsexual way.<< Me too, Gary. I'm getting really intimate with the program. I spend many of my waking hours with it, and sometimes I cuddle the box in bed with me at night, as we sleep after a long session of animating. The tickity-tick of the hard drives on the rendering farm in the other room are all we hear as I turn out the light, to dream of IPAS routines that are only a glimmer in some developer's cerebral cortex right now… Seriously, thanks again for such a great, solid work of programming art. A toast to you and your team! Salut! Jim

I suppose that sucking on them would soften them up a bit too. – G

Hi, David, and welcome to the forum. If you get just half the fun and knowledge I have gotten from this forum, you will have spent your CI$ $ very well indeed! I hope it is a positive experience for you. -Alan

<<Glad to 'ave ya aboard, mate. Hope Paree treats ya well.>> Is this the good ship Studio, captain, if not I've got on the wrong boat. Do you have a wooden leg and a parrot or do you come from Australia. Personally I come from Australia where the word 'mate' is very common. Yes Paree is treating me well but unfortunately the work isn't. Salut et a bientot!

>> Salut et a bientot! << Parlez vous ah… Huh? Nah, not from Australia nor France. Just using "mate" to make ya feel at home. Welcome again and read thee well.
