Why do IPAS effects cost so much? Don't get me wrong, I think Autodesk and the Yost Group are great, but another $2100 for all the IPAS, when usually you just want a couple from each disk? For the cost of one IPAS disk, we could get Impulse's Imagine. I know it's not as good as 3d-Studio, but it comes with it's own effects such as explode and disinegrate. Plus, you get a feature similiar to Skin.axp, a spline modeler, and a great particle generator. i have experience with it and it's pretty nice, thought it's quality doesn't match 3d-Studio's. I think that the Yost Group would sell more IPAS if they sold them individually, for $25-$40. Anyway I still love Autodesk and the Yost Group, Great Job!

Jason, >> Why do IPAS effects cost so much? << have you been smoking too many of those "funny" cigarettes? {|-P All things are relative. The IPAS routines are dirt cheap compared to their real competitors – the SGI packages. They may seem more expensive compared to Amiga software but look what's happening to Amiga and its software developers – they're tripping over themselves to get their software ported to a platform with a forseeable future (PC/MAC/SGI).

>> Why do IPAS effects cost so much? If you look at their benefits and the amount of time they save on your projects, you can plan on full payback by the time the first animation leaves your office. My personal favorites are Disks #6 & 7, which offer some real time-savers. – Dave
