Hi Phillip; It was a pleasure to meet you at the NAAUG party. I took MARTA out
to the Lennox mall this morning and picked up a copy of Inside 3DS, just
finished it tonight. Nice job, guy. Some great techniques, practical info, and
I can't wait to get the CD in to see what you and Greg and Steven have on it.
I've been following threads on this book for a while, but I hadn't planned on
picking it up because my bookshelves are packed. I can definitely make room for
this one. Again, congradulatins on an excellent text. -dave
Dave –
Thanks for the comments on the book.
But really – the congratulations should be directed towards YOU –
Congratulations again on being elected NAAUG president-elect!!! – I'm sure that
the next two year's of NAUUG presentations will be true mulitmedia events <g>.
TYL,
– Phil
p.s. What are your favorite AniPro uploads? (poco as well as flics of
course)

They are well deserved.

You can bet on it. I'm hoping Ted Boardman and the Multimedia SIG will
take this challenge by the reigns for next year. We have some of the
most powerful graphics software in the world at our disposable… it
seems a shame to settle for blue gradients. 🙂

I'd have to say the majority of them are the work of Ed Kellerman. Ed
pushes the envelope when it comes to new uses for ANI. We both have
uploaded various POCO and FLICs to do IPASy (new word?) effects in
3DS. Ed's stuff seems to focus on image manipulations. His latest
particle system is dangerously addictive. I like to create new CEL
tools. Keyword search on TOXIC… checkout CELSPRAY and TYPECEL. I'm
looking forward to AStudio's Modular Ink capabilities and sound
integration tools. -dave
