Roger, Use search word DXF3DS in the search function of the libraries. DL this file to your drive. Do you have access to the net? There is a program at (http://www.viewpoint.com/avalon.html) that is in the utilities area, this program will take an .STL from ProE and convert it quite nicely into an .OBJ or .DXF file. Use the .STL converter to do a STL-DXF, then hop into DXF3DS and do a DXF-3DS, this "way" of doig the translation seems to be the best I have found, (i have looked for the best way for over 3 months!) if you have any problems feel free to E-mail me ad I'll get right back to you. Greg and Roger: The best swiss army knife of 3D file conversions I have found is Syndesis Corp's Interchange for Windows. It handles ProE .stl files and can convert them to .3DS files in one shot. It is not free (I have forgotten the price tag) but has some great features. For instance, pile into a list all of the different files you need converted by just clicking on them. Next, specify the destination directory and the format you want to convert to and let it rip. The software autodetects what type of file needs converting and spits 'em out one after another. Don't get me wrong, free is nice but if free is slow then Interchange may be what you are after. – Bob Ritger
