Hello, I have a problem with my ray-tracing shadows. Can someone tell me how
to get my shadows to come out a little lighter (not so dark)? Also I have a
stair and when I render, the shadows that appears on itself looks correct but
it just doesn't apperar correct on the ground. It looks like it's missing
something, it looks like big blocks of black for the stair. Any help would be
greatly appreciated. Thanks Chris
You can always turn up the ambient light or use other lights to fill in your
shadowed areas.
Also, is your ground a grid or did you create it with only two faces? I
suspect you need to use GRID to get more faces for 3DS to properly work with
(you can always tessalate as well).
Chris:
To lighten up your shadows you can decrease the intensity of the shadow
casting light source, add other light sources to your scene or increase ambient
light levels. There is a lot of room for experimentation here but these are
some ideas for you.
