Pangea

Hy Bob!
Do you remember 200mio years ago as the earth was lokking like my just finished
3DS/4 created "Pangea" globe? O.K. I'm kidding, but my meshes of the continents
are finished after working strong days and nights (nearly 70 houres) from
beginning final cound down at last wednesday. But the result is absolutly
great.
In the moment I'm starting rendering tests.
Do you know how to use fog atmosphere layered on a sphere?
Is it possible to realize a fog layer on a sphere with the
Render/setup/atmosphere/fog?
What is 3DS MAXX ?
Best regards Anselm!
Anselm:
I'm glad the world is working out your way. Atmospheric fog nor layered fog
are going to get you that atmospheric fuzziness around your earth. You may
want to just enclose your globe inside a semi-transparent larger globe which is
mapped with a material of the proper color and transparency.
3DS MAX is the name of the next upgrade for 3D Studio. Its due this winter
and will run on NT.

Hallo Bob,
In the same way I realised a glow around my glob. I worked with a disk behind
the glob.
Thank's Anselm
Anselm:
Way to go! I like hearing about successes like yours.
