#Dell w/ 3dStudio

Recently purchased a Dell Dimension p133, w/ a #9 771 motion card,
configuring the rendering display three different ways;
1. Their supplied RCPADI driver.
2. Vibrant in-line configured to closest choice (GXE64)
3. Null display.
all yield the same result, everything works great until you try to render and
then during the "transforming objects" sequence the machine pauses for an
excessive amount of time (sometimes several minutes) before it finishes. While
I don't think it is a bug in 3dStudio, any information regarding similar
problems and their solutions would be appreciated if only so I can ask a more
informed question of Dell,#9 etc..

Try REMming out the POWER line in your CONFIG.SYS (or was that AUTOEXEC.BAT?)

Thanks for the tip, it worked perfectly, now I'm not only a fan of yours but a
beneficiary. Anything posted recently to further impress us?
Also, I have some vague recollection that you sell a sun path program, is this
true, and if it is, is the sun a parallel light source or another spotlight?

You cannot create a new light type within 3DS, so SunPath creates the path of
the sun (or moon, or any other planet in our solar system) and allows you to
choose something to animate along this path. Normally a spotlight for the sun,
but it could be an object or camera, also.
