Motherboards for PVR

I am zeroing in on which motherboard to purchase for my PVR. One is the
American Megatrends Titan II which is suppose to be a very reliable board but
very expensive. The other motherboard I'm considering is the Advanced
Integration Research 54CDPv.2 (AIR). I would appreciate it if anyone can post
their experiences or opinions on either of these boards especially the AIR.
The AIR motherboard is a dual Pentium up to 133 MHz, Intel Neptune chip set,
has 4 EISA & 4 PCI slots, Fast & FastWide SCSI2 built on the motherboard,
supports up to 2.88MB floppies and flash AMI Winbios. Judging by the diagram
possibly only one or none of the PCI slots is full length, but this may not be
a problem because DPS sells a 1" riser card with hardware bracket that gets the
PVR above obstructions.i

I'm no expert, but I think there's been some dialogue (here) on the rationale
for dual pentium mobos being that there was a certain application that took
advantage of the dual-processor technology. If that were true and the apps
you're using don't use the dual-Ps, why bother?

I'm no expert either but I wonder if the dual pentium is the way to go at this
point. The Neptune chipset is kind of sloppy compared to the Triton chipset.
Unfortunately, all the current mobo's I've seen with dual Pentiums use the
Neptune chipset. Also how large is the external cache for each cpu? These bus
hungry cpu's can bury the bus pretty quick if the cache's for each cpu aren't
pretty large.
If you can't use dual cpu's today with your software, I think the first of the
year will bring better solutions then Neptune based dual EISA based Pentiums.
