#How busy is AMMEDIA?
2 messages in this thread
Oh, I understand Anne. I was just trying to give CI$ a hard time :>.
It really isn't far, though, for a forum that deals routinely with graphics to
have the same restrictions as, say, a forum with a discussion on cats. And I
would just venture to guess that Adesk is one of the most active forums on CI$
— are there scrolling rates available which allow comparison? That activity
certainly translates into money, and therefore…
Oh well, I've worked for the govenment long enough to know there's no such
thing as logic within buracracy. (And here's a great vote of thanks for the
work you do here — it's got to be a monumental job keeping up with all the
messages and files, and things always seem so organized).
Mike –
<G> and thanks for the vote of support on how all the staff here work to keep
us in tidy order. It's not quite monumental but it does take time! I truly
enjoy this forum and the way all of ya'll interact. Sure you have fights (or
should I say disagreements <G>) but mostly you (generic you) are defending a
position or software or hardware.
One day I hope to sit behind one of you masters and see 3DS and/or Animator
work like it is supposed to rather than my poor attepts.
As to statistics -I've never looked to see where we fall in the list of
comparison on volume of messages. Anyone can set their software to see how many
messages are posted daily – it's usually between 150-250. For comparison,
ASHOWCASE gets maybe 20 a week <VBG> and ACAD gets 300-450 a day. My "play"
forum where I am the section leader for quilting on the FIBERCRAFTS forum gets
1000-1200 a day!!!for the whole forum and about 200 a day in just quilting
alone. Now – have I opened myself up for some remark about women and how they
like to talk. <G> The pace there is so bad that topics never have the time on
the forum to develop like ones do here. A scroll rate of 2-3 days is a real
impediment not like our 2-1/2 to 3 week scroll rate here. More than you wanted
to know?
