#TCP/IP AMIGA and WIN95

I need some help getting my Windows 95 PC to see my Amiga hardrives in that I
don't know what software to use on either site. So far I got TCP/IP working on
both machines. I can ping and see them from each site. I have Ethernet.
My question is what other software do I need to run on my AMIGa and PC for my
PC to see MY PAR (DDR:) drive on the PC. And where do I find this software. I'm
running TCP/IP 4.0 demo on my Amiga.

TCP/IP is the underlying networking layer (or stack if you prefer).
That's what hooks the two together…but that's all it does…allow each
machine to speak the same language over a wire. On top of that, you need
programs that know how to speak to TCP/IP that will allow access to your
drive(s).
You need equivalents of each program on each end. That is, you'd need
a server program on the AMiga end and a client program on the DOS end.
If you go into Windows95 network setup (in control panel) you can add
(or remove) various protocols and client software. Look for something for the
Amiga (in lib 5 here) that matches one of the clients available in win95.
I'm not sure we have anything that will fit that bill here, but you
might browse the library to be positive.

I see what you mean. I'm looking for any software that's capable of giving me
the posibility to see harddisks both ways. I don't know if they are public
domain or commercial. I wouldn't mind paying for this software. Its just that I
don't have the time to go tinker with alot of software and still not being able
to get it to run properly. I need something reliable. I was looking at OXXI
netwae client but that is not strong enough because my Amiga can only see the
netware partitions that way. I need to be able to read files directly from my
PAR to LW-Intel. Any othe way of transfering these files will take to much
time.

No problem! Just buy AmiTCP. It has NFS, FTP and telnet Clients. Not sure about
a NFS Server though.
I'm sure Dale has much better coments than me! Like AFS I think… B-)
