To all,
Well, as it was pointed out to me here, I can't use the IBM power
supply that I wired for my Amiga due to pin 14 needing to be hooked up to a
clock signal that is 60HZ. I moved the jumper on the motherboard to allow it to
try and use _VSYNC as an alternative but to no avail. Does anyone have a
suggestion (outside of buying the Amiga supply) of an alternative way for me to
get this signal out to the motherboard? If not, does anyone know where the
LEAST expensive place to buy an A2000 power supply would be? So far the prices
I have gotten range from $85 to $125 and that is for the stock supply. Any help
would be appreciated! Thanks! Jamie

looking at the schematicts, the clock signal of the Amiga PS is taken off the
ac power inlet line, using an opto-electronical IC, and amplified by a
transistor powered by the 12 V and 5 V feedback lines.
I think you have to be an expert to add this circuitry to a `clone' PS.
If you jumper the motherboard to VSYNC, you have to apply an external vsync
signal to the Amiga.
Sorry, but I think best way to go is to get an Amiga PS. Can't advise you where
to buy, though, because you sure don't want to take a flight to Germany for
that purpose… :-).

I have an A2000HD power supply which was removed to put in a 300 watt
replacement. The power supply was fine when removed. I was just concerned about
the large demands I was beginning to put on the A2000 system with nearly every
slot full.
IF you want it you can have it for $40 plus shipping.
