HELP?> No need to shout! (all caps is seen as shouting online)….<grin> The only thought I have is that perhaps you didn't leave the .jpg extension on the file, or that the program on the PC you're using doesn't support Jpegs. Could either of those be the problem? Asha Another Day Another Million Colors

Er, No I saved a picture on VIDI 12 RT as a JPEG file, onto a P.C disk. I put this disk into my P.C and tried to load the JPEG picture into a JPEg compatiable program, but it didn't recognise the file. WHy? from alan t

Alan, <I saved a picture on VIDI 12 RT as a JPEG file, onto a P.C disk. I put this disk into my P.C and tried to load the JPEG picture into a JPEg compatiable program, but it didn't recognise the file. WHy?> What program did you use to save the picture? What is VIDI 12 RT? Were there any spaces in the name you used (like My Picture?). I've never had this problem with JPEG files… Ocassionally TIFs won't transfer correctly (there is no "standard" TIF file that EVERYONE uses…sigh..) but never with a Jpeg… Asha Another Day Another Million Colors

Alan, < i saved the picture on vidi 12 rt. does that help you?> Sorry, but no, that doesn't help me. What is vidi 12 rt? Is it hardware, software, what? I've never heard of it. Asha Another Day Another Million Colors

Vidi 12 RT is digitising hardware for the Amiga. It also comes with software that allows you to digitise pictures or animations directly from any video source. You can save what you've digitised in a number of formats. I saved a picture in JPEG format and tried to load it into my P.C, but the P.C didnt recognise it. Why Ash? From alan taff

Alan, After you've saved your pictures form the Vidi (hardware) to the software have you tried viewing it on the Amiga? I'm not familiar with that hardware or any software that comes with it. I've converted pictures using OpalPaint, Adpro and ImageFX to JPegs and given them to friends with PCs who have had no problems seeing them. If your Amiga can reload and see them properly, and they've got the .jpg extension on them, then I don't understand why your PC can't see them (also assuming your using the proper software on the PC). Sorry…. Asha Another Day Another Million Colors

Make sure the CROSSDOS text filter is not active. Hope this helps. And you really want us to call you Epi-Taff??? Roy Nash 70662,747 A500 Flyng High on AutoPilot
