I want to know the difference between these two .SXP's NOISE_I.SXP and NOISE2_I.SXP The reason I ask is, in the "Inside 3D Studio Release 4" book by NRP There is a tutorial for creating water on pages 842-846. In there they use NOISE2-I.SXP and achieve very good results. However they do not supply you with the NOISE2_I.SXP for the tutorial. I tried to use the NOISE_I.SXP and achieved very poor results. I can only think that the .SXP's are different. Any help would be appreciated. -Tom -Tom McGuire

Tom: NOISE2 is simply faster than NOISE. The result is the same. Murat

Tom: Noise 2 is actually different than Noise. Noise 2 uses a completely different function, which is none periodic, compare to the less organic looking Noise.

Tom, I believe noise2_i.sxp comes with 3dsr3 and above.
