Has anyone reported problems rendering on Pentium class machines. We are modeling a house with multiple rooms and things crash if too many rooms are loaded. The machine has 80MB memory. The problem goes away when CPU cache is turned off, but then things slow down dramatically. I appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

Gary, >> …things crash if too many rooms are loaded. << Exactly what does the machine do? (lockup, error and continue,…) Are you network rendering? How much free space on your hard drive? – Steve Ormonde

>> The problem goes away when CPU cache is turned off, but then things slow down dramatically. I appreciate any ideas. Thanks. << I encountered a similar problem with lockups recently. When I disabled the cache the problem went away. I replaced the cache memory and even the mother board, but the problem persisted. In desperation, I had the CPU replaced, and the problem went away. I'm not saying that your CPU is the problem, but it was for me. -Grant Blaha [ADESK]
