we use everything. We have 15 Pentium 100's and also use 20+ SGI's for
rendering with the 3ds SGI renderer. Each SGI is close to 2x faster than our
Pentium's, and much better when paging to disk. I personally just use 3ds4, but
others in the company use Wavefront/Alias, Renderman, Prisms, and lots of
proprietary software.
