I am interested in purchasing a Video toaster but I have a couple of
questions.
1. Does each video source need to be run through a TBC in order to do all the
transitions and wipes which appear on you demo tape?
2. Is a house sync of some sort required?
3. I have a A3000 in a tower case. Will the the Toaster work with it, or will
I need to put it in my 2000?
4. I have a GVP spectrum EGS board installed in my computer, will it
peacefully co-exist with the Toaster?
5. Last but not least, will the new software even run on my non-aga
machines or will I have to get a 4000 before I can do anything?
Dege, NewTek doesn't drop im here very often. Here are some of your
answers. Each input must be Time Base Corrected and in sync with
each other. As long as you have an open video slot, the Toaster
should work. The software will work on non-AGA machines, but the
paint program won't be quite the same the way the image is displayed.

Any direct camera feeds don't need to be time base corrected, only
videotape feeds. The new Toasters fit right into the A3000, but the
older, original Toaster hardware requires some hacking (literally).
Oh yeah, not camera feeds…but they still have to be synched together.

For the TBC, you only need to use it on the inputs, if you are using a
videotape source. If you are using one or more cameras, then no.
