I heard that you could buy new copies of 3ds r3 for $500 at discount stores.
Does anyone know where to look? I need a fully upgradeable copy of 3ds r3.

I believe that the drastically discounted release is a non-upgradable
educational version. Keep a close eye on the forum as many people sell used
versions here. Before buying used, however, confirm with Autodesk customer
support that the serial number is registered and upgradable.

I have a release 2 that is registered for sale. Will throw in Animator Pro and
video drivers. I've been asking $400 but might negotiate a bit.
