i just loaded up your par library package. all works but parout. i call up a project and in the keyframer, i go to 'video post' and select 'add' which gives me 'KF scene'. i select 'edit' and get 'queue entry' dialog box. i select 'process' and the IXF selector appears. i select 'parout', select 'ixp' then 'OK' this returns me to the former box where i select 'setup'. the 'parout' dialogue comes up and i select an existing directory on my par drive.and 'yes' to delete images. i select 'OK' and ret- urn to 'queue entry' , then 'OK' back to VP dialogue where i see 'parout_1.ixp' with the appropriate number of frames. i select 'render' at this point and do my usual network render setup using the 'network queue control', pop my machines into slave mode. i am setup to render to local drive 'c' on both machines. the machine without the par or the ixp immediatly fails and the machine with par/ixp renders, but renders very quickly leaving .tga's on c drive unerased and totally black. no- thing gets to the par. what am i doing wrong? really need help! thanx, Garry

>>network render setup using the 'network queue control', pop my machines into >>slave mode. i am setup to render to local drive 'c' on both machines. You must render to a directory wich both computers can read, prefarably a server. Otherwise the PAROUT program cannot access the files not rendered on the computer with the PAR. – Martin Enthed (Enthed Animation)

Garry: In addition to MartinE's comments on sending all your frames to a common network drive, I think I may see something else. >> in the keyframer, i go to 'video post' and select 'add' which gives >> me 'KF scene'. i select 'edit' and get 'queue entry' dialog box. i >> select 'process' and the IXF selector appears. i select 'parout'… >> >> … renders very quickly leaving .tga's on c drive unerased and >> totally black. It sounds like you have only one line in Video Post, and that is for PAROUT. What you are thereby telling 3DS is to render _nothing_ and save it! What you need to do is have at least two lines in VP, the first of which should be "Keyframer Scene", the second should be PAROUT. Let me know how this works for you! Greg Pyros
