#Amiga (AT) on TV
5 messages in this thread
For your information:
In the German TV show called "WDR Computerclub" this Sunday morning they talked
about the rivival of the Amiga. They showed the Amiga Magic package (A1200 with
170 HD) on the screen at the beginning of the show around five minutes. Later
on they presented the A1200 and the A4000 (no tower). Gilles Bourdin was
present and started a Scala MM300 demo on the A1200. He stated that the
relaunch of the Amiga was an instant success and that they will sell around
100.000 A1200 this year. He added that they (AT) are on the Amiga fair this
November in Cologne. It is called "Computer '95 with World of Amiga '95".
After that there was an interview with Manfred Schmitt, president of ESCOM.
Some statements of this interview:
– Microsoft and Intel is a threat for the common market
– Amiga is a cheaper alternative to Microsoft and Intel
– As a reaction of the statement "Windows '95 = Apple '89" he said "Windows '95
= Amiga '85"
– Effective multitasking, low resource comsuming, price less than 1000 DM
