I've tried to download GIF graphics, but to date have been unsuccessful. It was
suggested that I use the files VTEK21.LHA and LHA138.run, but when I
"processed" those files and attempted to use them, I got a "subliminal" message
(only flashed for a fraction of a second) that I need Kickstart 2.04 "or
higher" to run all this. I am currently using an Amiga 2000HD with Workbench
1.3, and using the A-Talk 3 communications software. Is there any way I can
download and successfully display GIF graphics with what I currently have, or
do I have to upgrade to Workbench something-else? This is getting quite
frustrating.
Stephen,
When I was using 1.3, though it was several years ago now, I used SuperView to
view GIFs. I think you'll find SuperView in the Graphics Utilities library of
AmigaArts – but I don't know if the current version works under 1.3. You
really ought to update your operating system! Your Amiga will be every so much
nicer, and all the newer things will work on it then.
