Help.. I've got a friend who is interested in joining Compuserve (with his Amiga) and at the moment, i cant find the UK's free phone service number, OR anywhere on CIS that mentions new members joining. I've found the new members help and such. Can someone here help me out with where to go/email/phone? Anthony (AutoPilot Novice from Manchester, UK)

Hello Anthony, I logged on recently (also a novice), I used 0800289458. This is the Customer Service Helpline. Just a note to help your friend- these people recommend the following modem settings:- Handshaking-XON/XOFF,Parity-0,Bits/Char-7,stop bits-1 I think you're friend will find more success with:-Handshaking-RTS/CTS,Parity-0,Bits/Char-8,stop bits-1. E-mail me if you have any problems Peter Hill flying Tornado @ 14400 on AutoPilot 1.8 over the English Lakes

Peter.. thanks for the phone number, and the other data. Hopefully getting him an ID from customer services will be the hardest part.. Thanks again Anthony (tapping away with 2 fingers)
