Has anyone else had any trouble getting their targa+ board running w/ 3DS4. I just upgraded from R3 where it worked fine. The other machines in the office haven't had a problem witht he upgrade. Any ideas would be helpful. Steven Thompson

Steven, >> Has anyone else had any trouble getting their targa+ board running w/ 3DS4 << What types of problems have youy been having? My transfer from r3 to r4 went without a hitch. Did you change anything else (config.sys file, etc.)? Are your Targa driver(s) in the 3ds4\drivers directory? Have you tried using both the Vibrant Targa+ drivers and the RDPADI option in 3ds vibcfg? Does the board still work with any Targa apps that it shipped with? Paul S.

The board still works perfectly w/ R3. I'm actually loading the RDPADI from R4 and it's still only working from R3. I was however, unaware of a vibrant driver for the Targa+. I'll go ahead and try that. Steven Thompson

Your not having a "can't find protected mode ADI driver" problem are you??? If you are, let me know how it turns out, I have the same problem. If you know anyone who may be able to help, let me know. thanks Jim

Jim, >> "can't find protected mode ADI driver" << I've come across the same error message after reloading 3DS, and doing other mucking around with hardware/software. Every time it came down to some simple thing I've overlooked. Have you and Steve: 1.) Copyied the Targa+ drivers into the 3DS4\drivers subdirectory? 2.) Used the correct SET statement for the RDPADI device/driver in the autoexec.bat? Mine reads: "SET RDPADI=c:\3ds4\drivers\rdtplus.exp 3.) Set the correct memory exclusion statement for the Targa+ in your config.sys file? Mine reads: "[memory manager here] X=E000-EFFF" 4.) Initialized the Targa+ board in your config.sys? Mine reads: "DEVICE=c:\tplus\targap.sys b0 i230 me r1 w1 I also have the statement "c:\tplus\tmode 11 6" in my autoexec.bat, which sets the Targa+ to 512 x 486 interlaced, and I'm ready to go! Paul S.
