well, I'm going to upload an ABasiC program which uses the Serial Port
CORRECTLY(none of this 256 byte buffer stuff) in just a second. I found this
program on the Amiga Developer's Excahnge at (408) 372-1722 in Monterey Ca, and
no doubt some of you have seen it, or have figured out the Serial port by now,
but I haven't seen any programs which use it yet (except Maxicomm, which I
have, and am using, but it doesn't give you a clue how to do it yourself).
anyway, I modified it a little so it works better, before it only read a
character every time you sent one. it will not run at 1200 baud, but 300 is ok.
it's all pretty straightforward, so it shouldn't be too hard to figure out if
you want to write your own term. prog.

I just uploaded one earlier myself. Be interesting to see yours. At least we
are getting bootstrapped!
