I am currently considering the purchase of an Amiga. I have searched for info
available to me and I am very impressed. I am presently a long time user of
CP/M and an Osborne I. Any opinions on the Amiga and or experiences will be
appreciated.

You will love it. Like going from a Volkswagen to a Porsche. Hardware is A+++,
software is behind temporarily (happens on all new machines).
You'll find that since the Amiga is a "big-time" machine, there is more
to programming it (especially low-level) than for CP/M. For most applications
most people will want to buy programs (appliance users) or stick with
well-debugged high-level languages.
