Dear HR, Thank you for your message about the AbasiC Text files in DL7 here. I can see we must have a problem and we will take care of this hopefully over the weekend. I agree that I believe "Maxicomm" is at fault here for truncating the files rather than CompuServe itself because it does not happen with our C-64 program files. At least, this is my opinion. We had made sure the file was "readable" (as their is no true protocol involved here in downloading), but we did not "debug" the programs. We have never "debugged" programs — just made sure they were downloadable by protocol and would "load" OK or that the format was readable on a text file. However, I feel this is a different situation now that we are told most every AbasiC file is missing end program lines. I will talk to the other Sysops and we will resolve this and set up some kind of other procedure in the case of the Amiga files (at least until a better Terminal Program is available). We would appreciate any additional information any of our Members have to offer. Thank you again and we are working on this. Take care. Sincerely, Sysop/Betty Knight 76703,4037 *** There is a reply: 42188 Enter command, N for next message or <CR> for menu : n

READing the Abasic files (i.e., use buffer capture) seems to work OK. Regards -LDM- Enter command, N for next message or <CR> for menu : n
