EDIT may look like a throwback, but then I doubt that they wanted to make it be
Wordstar 2000 — line-oriented editors like Unix ED or VMS EDT or the ED & SED
spinoffs under CPM & MSDOS are all powerful programming tools that I wouldn't
want to be without on those systems — in particular SED, variants of which
even exist on Cray supercomputers. The interface is just too useful to throw
away.
