Hello, I am using my aAmiga with a Rixon [Hayes-compatible modem] and Iam
Having TROUBLE!!! I have several term programs. Maxiterm from the Maximill.
Demo, which doesn't work at all, and Xterm 3 and 3.1 from the DL 7 here.
With these Xterms, I send to my modem fine, but I lose every other character
that returns!!! I put a data-analyzer between my Amiga and modem, it displ-
ayed all characters going fine- From the Amiga and to it. But Istill lost
every other character. I am using a straight-thru RS232 connector with the 3
voltage pins removed (14,21 and 23, i think). Has anyone else had this
problem with theor terms?? Please help me! Iam to be a Beta-tester for Micro
systems and When I get their term to test, I'll know if its my Amiga, My
Modem, The cable (tried 19) different ones), or the term. If you have any
idea, please let me Know!!!! Thanx,. Randy Thomas
I use MaxiComm with the Rixon 212A. In order to get the program to work I had
to tie lines 6, 8, and 20 together. The cable I'm using has pins 1-2-3 5-6-7-8
and 20 with pins 6,8 and 20 tied together on the modem end.
